ART THERAPY AND CHAGAS
This intervention revealed itself to be a compelling tool that provoked very deep personal and group experiences. In the phase of work with the group of affected people–Bolivian citizens that live in Barcelona–the process helped to fill a cultural and existential gap which allowed both the participants and the art therapist to share in a common “space-time”.
EXPERT PATIENT PROGRAM
In 2006, with the help of Assumpció González Mestre, we began the Catalonia Expert Patient Program. For several years, Assumpció González coordinated the communications office in the Barcelona area; from there she was able to disseminate work done by international health groups in Barcelona.
The aim of the CorArte project is to describe the experience of humanizing the actions taken in the waiting room at the Chagas Disease Referral Service in Pernambuco, Brazil, through the “CorArte Project: Art with Heart”.
