TO KNOW OR NOT TO KNOW?
DOCUMENTARY ABOUT CHAGAS DISEASE IN BARCELONA
This material is a tool with the purpose of informing and raising awareness, in both migrant communities and the general population, that Chagas disease is a growing concern in places where it was once unknown.
What is Chagas disease? How is it transmitted and how can it affect people? How do I know if I have the disease? Where should I go? These are some of the questions that are asked in this documentary. Through the experiences shared, we learn how people live with the reality of the disease while far away from their countries of origin. We are introduced to the people and organizations that work with people who are affected by this silent disease. This material was created to be used as a tool that community health representatives can use to reveal the reality of people who have Chagas outside of endemic areas.
